Your
Conversion Event

How to choose it, build it, fill it and sell from it. The doorway she walks through on her way to your high-ticket work.

Before you begin

Why Run a Conversion Event

A conversion event is a free or low-cost experience that warms her up before you ask her to buy. It is a sales event dressed as a value event. And it works.

Nobody spends £3,000 with a woman she met on a sales page. She needs to see you, hear you and feel how you hold a room. A conversion event gives her that in one sitting.

What a good conversion event does for you

  • Trust, fast. An hour with you builds more know, like and trust than a month of posts.
  • Authority. She watches you solve a real problem. Now she believes you can solve the bigger one.
  • A very warm segment. Everyone who signs up has raised her hand for this exact topic. That is your hottest list.
  • An entry point to high ticket. It moves her from free to "I want to work with you" in a single step.
  • Data. The questions she asks, the moments she leans in and the words she uses become your next sales page.

Resource One

Types of Conversion Event

Every one of these can be run live or set up to run automatically. Start live. Automate what works later.

Live or automated

Masterclass or Training

ProsLive energy. Educational. Problem to solution. Builds your authority like nothing else.

ConsTakes time to create. Needs energy in the room. Can need optimising once or twice before it sings.

Best for your signature high-ticket offer.

Automated

Email Series

ProsGreat for bigger themes that need breaking down. Time smart. Brilliant for evergreen. The reminders live in her inbox.

ConsCan miss the live energy. Can get lost in a busy inbox. No natural urgency.

Best for a deeper topic taught over five to seven days.

Live or automated

Application Form or Waitlist

ProsTime smart. Supportive. Helps you choose who is the right fit.

ConsUsually needs a warm audience. Can get lost. Needs nurturing around it.

Best for 1:1, retreats and anything with limited places.

Live

Challenge

ProsBuilds know, like and trust over several days. Creates real energy and momentum.

ConsTime consuming. Works best with a team behind you. Can be tiring to hold.

Best when you have the capacity and a group programme to sell.

Automated

Lead Magnet

ProsTime smart. Easy to create. Great for entry level and warming her up.

ConsDoes not always give enough credibility or authority on its own.

Best for growing your list before a bigger event.

Live

Connection Call (Themed)

ProsStraight to the point. The easiest way to sell.

ConsNeeds a warm audience. Can attract time wasters.

Best for women who already know your work.

Automated

Template, Handbook, Mini Guide or Mini Course

ProsTime smart. Easy to create. Great for entry level and warming her up.

ConsDoes not always give enough credibility or authority on its own.

Best as a quick win that leads into a live event.

Resource Two

The Five Rules

Hold these whichever type you choose.

Always live first.

Live is where you learn. You hear her questions, you feel what lands and you see where she drifts. Run it live, refine it, and then automate the version you know converts.

Meditations are not conversion events or lead magnets.

A meditation is a beautiful gift. But it soothes her. It does not show her a problem, your method or why she needs you. She leaves calm, not ready to decide.

A two week window for live events.

Promote for around fourteen days before the live. Any longer and she forgets she signed up. Any shorter and you do not have time to fill the room.

Always create from problem and solution.

Start with one specific problem she knows she has. Your event solves it. If you cannot name the problem in one sentence, the theme is not ready yet.

Solve a problem, and create a problem.

Your training should give her a real win. Then it should open the door to the next, deeper problem, the one your high-ticket offer solves. She leaves thinking "that helped, and now I can see what is really in the way."

Solve: how to get her retreat dates and price confirmed. Create: now she can see that filling it needs a launch plan she does not have yet.

Resource Three

Choosing Your Theme

Your theme is the bridge between her problem today and your high-ticket offer tomorrow. Pick the problem that sits one step before your paid work.

Test your theme

  • Is it one specific problem, in her words?
  • Can you give her a real result in sixty minutes?
  • Does solving it lead naturally into your high-ticket offer?
  • Would she be surprised it was free?

Title formula

The outcome she wants, plus the thing she is scared of losing, or the way she wants it to feel.

Sell Out Your Retreat Without Burning Out

Your Body Knows: Why Talking About It Hasn't Shifted It

For a retreat facilitator: "How to fill your next retreat from your own community." Leads into a launch mentoring offer.

For a somatic coach: "Why you know all the tools and still feel stuck." Leads into 1:1 somatic coaching.

For a breathwork facilitator: "Breathwork for anxious high achievers." Leads into a six week programme.

Resource Four

Your 60 Minute Running Order

Sixty minutes is the sweet spot. Long enough to teach something real and make an invitation. Short enough that she stays to the end.

0 to 5 min

Welcome and arrive

Ground the room. Tell her what she will leave with. Tell her you will share how to go deeper at the end, and that there is a bonus for the women who stay.

5 to 12 min

Your story and why you

Where you were, what changed, who you have helped since. This is authority, not a CV. Keep it short and specific.

12 to 40 min

The teaching

Your method in clear steps. Solve the problem you promised. Give examples and client stories as you go. This is where she decides you know your stuff.

40 to 45 min

Working moment and the new problem

Give her five minutes to apply it. Then name what comes next, the deeper problem she can now see.

45 to 55 min

The invitation

Your offer, your fast action bonus and exactly how to say yes. See Resource Five.

55 to 60 min

Questions and close

Answer questions, especially the ones about the offer. Repeat the link and the bonus deadline. Stay on a little longer for anyone who wants to.

Put the invitation at around the 45 minute mark, not the very end. Some women always leave on the hour. You want them to have heard it first.

Resource Five

The Selling Part

Selling at the end of a free event is not pushy. It is the next step for the woman who is ready. Leaving it out is the unkind thing.

What your invitation includes

  • The bridge. "You now know what to do. The question is whether you want to do it on your own, or with me holding you."
  • Who it is for. Two lines so she sees herself.
  • The transformation. What changes for her. Then what is inside.
  • The price and payment plan. Clear and said out loud. No mumbling.
  • The fast action bonus. What it is and exactly when it ends.
  • How to say yes. One link. Book a call, apply or buy. Put it in the chat and on the slide.

The 72 hour fast action bonus

Everyone who joins your high-ticket offer within 72 hours of the live event gets something extra. It rewards the women who trust their yes, and it gives the replay a real deadline.

Choose a bonus that gets her results faster, not more to consume. An extra 1:1 session. A launch plan review. Voice note support for a month. A retreat room upgrade.

Give the exact deadline with the time zone: Sunday 5th October, 8pm UK. Then honour it. When it closes, it closes.

Opening the invitation

"Before we go into questions, I want to share how you can go deeper with me, because some of you are ready for more than an hour."

Introducing the bonus

"For the women who join in the next 72 hours, I am adding [bonus]. That closes on [day] at [time] UK and I won't be extending it."

The call to action

"If you felt a yes today, trust it. The link is in the chat. Book your call and we will see if it is the right fit together."

Resource Six

The Tech

Keep it simple. Use what you already have. The room matters more than the software.

What you need

  • A sign-up page. A Flodesk form or a page on your website that adds her to your event segment.
  • An email platform for confirmation, reminders and replay. Flodesk, Kit, Mailchimp or similar.
  • A live room. Zoom works for most. Use a webinar if you want a bigger audience, or a meeting if you want to see faces.
  • Slides. Canva is perfect. One idea per slide. Put your offer link on the final slides.
  • A replay home. An unlisted YouTube or Vimeo video on a replay page on your website.
  • A way to say yes. A call booking link, an application form or a checkout page.
  • Optional community. A Telegram or WhatsApp group keeps energy high before and after.

Tech checks before you go live

  • Sign up yourself with a second email. Check every email arrives.
  • Test the joining link, your sound, your light and your screen share.
  • Turn on recording, and cloud recording if you have it.
  • Have your offer link ready to paste into the chat.
  • Put your phone on do not disturb. Close every other tab.

Resource Seven

Sharing, Sending and Reminders

Most women who sign up and do not show simply forgot. Reminders are not annoying. They are the job.

How to share it

  • One link everywhere. Always share your sign-up page, never the Zoom link. You want her on your list.
  • Stories every day for the full two weeks, with a link sticker.
  • Two or three feed posts or reels speaking to the problem your event solves.
  • Your newsletter, at least twice.
  • Personal DMs to the ten women you most want in the room. By name.
  • Collaborations. Ask a friend with an aligned audience to share it.
  • Your registrants. Ask them to bring a friend.
On sign-up

Confirmation

Date, time with the time zone, the joining link, an add to calendar link and what to bring.

48 hours before

Reminder one

What she will learn. Why it matters now.

24 hours before

Reminder two

See you tomorrow. Stay to the end for the bonus.

3 hours before

Reminder three

Short. Today at [time]. Here is your link.

15 minutes before

We're live

Two lines and the link. This one gets the most clicks.

Within 24 hours

Replay and bonus

The replay, the slides, the offer and the 72 hour bonus deadline.

Day 2

Proof

A client story. What changed for her. The bonus reminder.

Day 3

Bonus closes

One email in the morning. One email an hour before it closes.

Send the replay to everyone who signed up, not only the women who came. Almost half of all webinar viewing happens on replay.

Resource Eight

The Metrics

Know your numbers so you know what to fix. A low show-up rate needs better reminders. A low booking rate needs a clearer invitation.

What to trackHow to work it outGood benchmark
Sign-up rateSign-ups ÷ visitors to your sign-up pageAround 40%
Live show-upLive attendees ÷ sign-upsAround 25%
Total viewsLive plus replay ÷ sign-upsAround 50%
Stay rateStill there at the invitation ÷ live attendees70% or more
Calls or applicationsBooked ÷ live attendees10 to 20%
Direct high-ticket salesSales ÷ live attendees1 to 4%

Show-up rates for free online events have dropped in recent years. A quarter of sign-ups arriving live is normal for coaches and wellness businesses, and bigger with a warm audience. That is why the replay and the reminders matter so much.

What one event can look like

An example with round numbers, for a £3,000 offer.

200

sign up

50

come live

35

stay for the invitation

5

book a call

2

become clients

That is £6,000 from one hour, or £30 for every woman who signed up. Now you know what each sign-up is worth, and why the daily stories are worth it.

Benchmarks: Scale for Impact (sign-up, show-up, stay and high-ticket rates, warm audiences) and ON24 2025 Webinar Benchmarks (live plus replay views, replay share). Cold audiences typically convert lower.

Takeaway

Replicate and Optimise

Anything you create live can be automated later.

Your first live masterclass becomes your evergreen training. Your challenge becomes your email series.

Choose what feels aligned first and foremost.

If you dread running a five day challenge, she will feel it. Pick the format you will enjoy holding.

Choose what the data shows works.

Track your numbers every time. Let them tell you what to do more of.

Replicate and optimise.

You do not need a new event every launch. Run the one that works again, and make it a little better each time.

And finally

Your conversion event is not a performance. It is an invitation into your world. Hold the room, teach what you know, and trust the women who are meant to say yes.

With love, Pip x
